TikTok also ranked second for the most consumer spend on apps this year, according to data from App Annie.
TikTok has beaten Facebook and became the most downloaded app in 2020. Sadly Now Facebook became the second most downloaded app followed by WhatsApp.
App Annie predicts that TikTok will break the 1 billion monthly active users in 2021. In 2020, it secured the eighth position among apps with the most number of MAUs.
Now TikTok also in the second position for consumer spending this year. Tinder continues to lead this space.
“TikTok’s craze among the people globally continued over 2020 — particularly as content-hungry consumers used this app to create, socialize and stay entertained — even increasing its cross-app usage with major video streaming players.
Zoom was another high downloaded app throughout 2020 because video communication became a must in Covid-19 and Zoom boomed due to the pandemic.
Zoom’s position climbed up 219 spots to become the 4th most downloaded app in the world. Among the other famous apps in 2020, Google Meet was also one which stood out in terms of downloads.
Disney+ also had break records this year as it expanded globally to more markets. It also ranked fifth for consumer spend.
